Channel 12 photographer interviews Tumbleweed youth in learning center

Tumbleweed will be highlighted throughout March on KPNX Channel 12 TV. Our thanks to “12WhoCare” and Channel 12 for the honor.

The “12WhoCare” crew interviewed youth and volunteers at Tumbleweed Youth Development center as they prepare to tell the community about the programs offered at Tumbleweed to help homeless and vulnerable youth in our community.

The 12 who care team went inside the Tumbleweed youth resource center where homeless youth can get food and clothing. They profiled one of the many volunteers who gives of their time to help

homeless youth. The resource centers provide showers and laundry and an opportunity for the vulnerable and homeless youth to get help and find a path to escape a life on the street.

The Channel 12 team went along as the Tumbleweed street outreach team help locate and talk to homeless youth  to give them information and a plan to help the youth grow and thrive.

The selection by the KPNX “12WhoCare” Committee followed our nomination by @ValleyMetro, who

Throughout March, Channel 12 will run a :30 Public Service Announcement promoting Tumbleweed as well as feature us on the “12WhoCare” website.

Along with other “12WhoCare” honorees, Tumbleweed will be presented with a $1,200 donation from KPNX at a June luncheon.  Tumbleweed appreciates the honor from Channel 12 and the “12WhoCare” Committee.
